The soil block makers provide a high rate of germination and easy blooming; by providing indentations for seed sowing, they eliminate pricking out and prevent root shock.
Cube inserts may be used in the Mini 4 to leave indentations of 2cm square in the 5cm soil blocks.
This allows seedlings that have been sown in 2cm soil blocks made with the 20 Cell to be placed into the Mini 4 blocks as the seedling grows.
